Dr Peter Henley

Dr Peter Henley is Research Funding Manager at Cancer Research Wales, having joined the charity in May 2021. 

As part of the Science Department, Peter supports the delivery and management of our grant funding initiatives and provides oversight to ongoing research projects. He also communicates the impact of Cancer Research Wales’s work to professional and public audiences, through a mixture of writing, presentations and public outreach events.

Prior to joining Cancer Research Wales, Peter completed a PhD in leukaemia immunology at Cardiff University and was previously a research technician at the University of Birmingham.

In his spare time, Peter is a keen football player and is a season ticket holder at Cardiff City. Peter’s interests also include stand-up comedy and he is a seasoned traveller.
