Professor Gareth Jenkins is the Director of Research at Swansea University Medical School and is a leading authority on carcinogens and cancer mutations.
Originally joining Swansea University as a PhD student in 1993, Professor Jenkins has built a research group focusing on how carcinogens cause cancer and using that information to diagnose cancers at early stages. With an extensive catalogue of over 100 publications and strong collaborative links with academia and industry, Professor Jenkins is a leader in Welsh research.
