Professor Peter Dunstan

Swansea University

Professor Peter Dunstan is a Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor at Swansea University and an expert in applying physics research to a biological context, particularly biospectroscopy. Since joining Swansea University in 1999, Professor Dunstan has built an extensive body of academic work taking in both research and the development of partnerships and knowledge exchanges for the university. His research group focuses on using spectroscopy to analyse biological samples to develop new methods for cancer diagnosis. Alongside Professor Dean Harris, Professor Dunstan has co-founded a spinout company to bring their innovative diagnostic techniques to patients as quickly as possible.
