Simon Drinkwater

Simon Drinkwater is a values-driven HR leader with nigh on 28 years' experience across sectors from healthcare to fintech, including call centres and care homes. Known for his hands-on style and commercial mindset, he’s built and led people strategies that drive cultural change, operational excellence, and talent growth.

His journey brought him to Wales 25 years ago, and his career spans start-ups to global brands like AXA, BAE Systems and PwC. He’s grounded in trust, resilience, and a calm head - always with a sense of humour and perspective, something embedded into him as a father of three teenage boys. 

Now, he leads The HR Partnership, a niche consultancy offering practical and strategic HR support to growing organisations, based out of Cardiff. He has a specific focus on the role and application of AI in HR and small/growing organisations.
