We're celebrating our 60th anniversary with a conference showcasing the fantastic research and researchers we fund across Wales.
2026 is Cancer Research Wales's 60th year, having been founded in 1966.
The conference will take place on Friday 23rd October 2026 at Glamorgan Cricket in Cardiff.
Abstracts and posters
Abstracts invited across all Cancer Research Wales-funded researchers. All abstracts must be accompanied by a poster and available for display on the day of the conference.
- Researchers will be invited for selected flash talks
- Poster prizes will be awarded.
- The deadline for submitting abstracts is 30 September 2026.
- The standard size for a research poster should be 48 inches by 36 inches (121.9 cm x 91.4 cm).

Instructions for abstract submissionsAll researchers wishing to submit an abstract must present a poster at the conference.
Instructions for abstract submissions
- All abstracts should contain the title, authors and their affiliations, with the poster presenter designated as first author.
- The main body of the abstract must not exceed 300 words (excluding title, authors and affiliations). Arial and font size 12 is preferred.
- The abstract should contain the following sections: aims/introduction; methods; results; conclusion.
- All abstract submissions must be made on a single page of A4.
