Cancer Research Wales is delighted to have places in the 2026 AJ Bell Great North Run, the Largest Half Marathon in the World
60,000 incredible participants run from the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields to fundraise, have fun and be part of an amazing running community.
As Wales’ only independent cancer research charity, all our cancer research funding is spent right here funding vital research in Wales.
Applications to run in this iconic race are open and will help change the future for cancer patients in Wales.
Successful runners will need to commit to raising a minimum of £400 plus £50 entry for this event. Applications to run with Cymru United at the Great North Run will close on the 16 January 2026.
If you are lucky enough to receive one of our limited places, you will be given a dedicated contact here at Cancer Research Wales who will support you through every step of this exciting journey.
