Adam Fletcher | CEO
Adam Fletcher is the Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Research Wales
A successful, strategic leader with over 10 years’ experience in senior leadership roles in higher education and the health charity sector in Wales.
His expertise includes developing and delivering strategic partnerships to improve research and healthcare, including with the Welsh Government, NHS and universities in Wales.
Adam was previously the head of British Heart Foundation (BHF) Cymru since 2017. Adam has also worked as a public health researcher and lecturer at Cardiff University and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
At Cardiff, he was the deputy director of a UKCRC Centre of Excellence for Public Health Research and he established Wales’ first Public Services Innovation Lab in partnership with Nesta and Welsh Government.
