New Cancer Research Wales greeting cards

They’ve been designed by the talented Rhyl-born graphic designer Goldie Moran especially for Cancer Research Wales.

They’re available now from Cancer Research Wales shops across Wales.

The four colourful and cheerful designs - ‘You star’, ‘Thanks a bunch’, ‘Have a ball’ and ‘Time for cake’, and each one is available in English or Welsh.

Designer Goldie Moran says:

“It’s a great honour to work with Cancer Research Wales designing their set of cards for their shops. I love to work with charities, I’m from Wales and you can find me in charity shops every weekend, so it felt like a perfect fit.

I feel like the cards in charity shops can sometimes be dated, so I wanted to create modern, fun and colourful designs.

I incorporated stripes into the designs to echo the bold stripes used in the Cancer Research Wales branding, but without looking corporate. I used their colourful brand palette of pinks, green, blues and yellows, and drew simple illustrations digitally.

I’ve noticed waves and scallops everywhere this year so added waves to give a more on trend, fun look to the cards.”
