Professor Andrew Westwell is an expert in drug discovery and chemical synthesis and the former Dean of Research & Innovation for the College of Biomedical and Life Sciences at Cardiff University. A Professor of Medicinal Chemistry since 2016, he has built an extensive portfolio of research in the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new anti-cancer therapies, including several that are progressing towards clinical trials in patients.
